Construction of the lookout – watchtower “Ptica kosac” Repušnica has been completed

Of the three lookouts (watchtowers) envisaged by the project in the Lonjsko polje Nature Park, construction of the watchtower “Ptica kosac” in Repušnica has been completed. The watchtower was designed by Tonči Čerina, dipl.ing.arh. (Roth i Čerina d.o.o.), and the works were performed by the company Tehno-Elektro d.o.o. from Đakovo. Its attractive appearance is attracting numerous visitors even now, and it is located at the “Jame” rest stop which is located two kilometres from the Repušnica Admission Centre.
The project “Increasing the Attractiveness and the Educational Capacity of the Lonjsko polje Nature Park by Building the Visitor Centre “Crna Roda” Osekovo” is financed by European Union funds coming from the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion and is co-financed by the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and by the Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency Fund. The Institution carries out the project in cooperation with the Sisak-Moslavina County and the town of Popovača.
In addition to the built watchtower in Repušnica, watchtowers in Čigoč and Osekovo are currently under construction and the already built “Crna Roda” Osekova visitor centre is currently being equipped. Built Visitor Centre “Crna Roda” Osekova is scheduled to be opened at the end of the month of August of this year.
