Crna roda Osekovo in the final phase

The Project “Increasing the Attractiveness and the Educational Capacity of the Lonjsko Polje Nature Park by building the Visitor Center “Crna roda” Osekovo” is progressing successfully and is enetreing its final stage right now. The steel construction of the Center has already been installed and the construction performed by the construction and service craft Građevinsko-uslužni obrt PE-GRA is proceeding according to plan.
The project, which started more than two years ago, will build the Crna roda Visitor Center in Osekovo with a lot of educational and interactive content and eight lookouts in the Park area. The lookouts will attract the attention of visitors with their appearance and offer them interesting educational content.
New solar-powered boats, each with a capacity of 12 people, are ready for the upcoming tourist season. The boats are designed to protect the environment and will provide visitors with a unique experience of enjoying the beauties of the Sava River. They will start from Drenov Bok port from spring. The company Hrvatski telekom d.d. delivered five electric bicycles that will further enrich the tourist offer of the Public Institution Lonjsko polje Nature Park.
As part of this project, a Visitor Management Study for the Lonjsko Polje Nature Park was prepared, which contains the time and financial framework for ten years of implementation. Also, a study was prepared for the installation of signalization on access roads to the Lonjsko polje Nature Park. On the basis of it, a new traffic signalization will be installed after the completion of the construction of the Visitor Center Crna roda in Osekovo and the lookouts.
Let us remind you that the project is funded by the European Union from the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion and is co-financed by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency. The institution implements it in cooperation with the Sisak-Moslavina County and the Town of Popovača.
