Initial conference of the project – Increasing the Attractiveness and the Educational Capacity of the Lonjsko Polje Nature Park by building the Visitor Center “Crna roda” Osekovo

On Wednesday, June 13, 2018, a presentation was held at the community center in Osekovo, in addition to which the construction of eight lookouts is planned throughout the entire Park, with the purchase of solar-powered boats and electric bicycles. The initial conference was attended by Sisak-Moslavina County governor Ivo Žinić, his deputy Roman Rosavec, Popovača Mayor Josip Mišković, Adviser to the Minister of Environment and Energy Dario Matanović, representatives of the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency, media, and other distinguished guests. The whole event was completed by the students of Osekovo Elementary School with their art works and compositions on the topic of Lonjsko polje and the Cultural-Artistic Group Stjepan Šajnović from Osekovo.
The project, for which the Public Institution Lonjsko Polje Nature Park will be awarded grants from the Operational Programme Competitiveness and Cohesion, is implemented in cooperation with the project partners Town of Popovača and Sisak-Moslavina County, and part of the project costs will be co-financed by the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency. The project was presented at the initial conference by the director of the Institution, Ivor Stanivuković. At the end of the conference, the media representatives were given USB sticks with a short summary of the project, presentation, and the video.
