
The construction of the visitor center “Crna roda” in Osekovo has begun

By laying the charter in the foundation stone, the construction of the visitor center “Crna roda” began in Osekovo on April 25, 2019, and it is being built as part of the project “Increasing the Attractiveness and the Educational Capacity of the Lonjsko Polje Nature Park by building the Visitor Center “Crna roda” Osekovo” and financed by the European Structural and Investment Funds in the financial period 2014 – 2020. The total value of the Project is HRK 20,315,914.88, of which the eligible costs of the project amount to HRK 15,759,437.22, and the total grant is HRK 12,826,999.00.
The project is implemented in cooperation with project partners Sisak – Moslavina County as a regional self-government with extensive experience in the implementation of EU projects and the Town of Popovača, in which the new Visitor Center will be located. A part of the costs of the Project is co-financed by the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Energy and the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency.
There will be a souvenir shop, presentation hall, educational park, parking lot and toilet in the new Visitor Center, and the contents of the Center will be based on interpretation and education tailored to modern users. The works are performed by the construction and service craft Građevinsko – uslužni obrt PE-GRA from Novska.
The opening of the works was attended by representatives of the Sisak-Moslavina County and the Town of Popovača, the Fund for Environmental Protection and Energy Efficiency, numerous representatives of economic entities and associations from the Park, and the residents of Osekovo and surrounding settlements.
